In 2015 we purchased a terrace of three barns and a garden area at the rear of our house. The barns are about 200 years old and this one is built of local stone. It has been neglected and requires a lot of repair work and a new roof. In February 2017 the renovation work commenced to convert the building to an arts and craft studio for our guests to use.

The first phase of the work was to repair one of the gable end walls and then to improve the strength and appearance of the window surrounds

This picture shows our builder Jason, with a little help from Adrian, removing some of the formwork which was used to create new concrete arches over the window openings

Following the repair to the window openings the next stage was to replace the roof. This happened in June 2017
